Weekly Rides

All weekly rides are show-and-go. Most operate only when DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME is in effect. The number of people at each ride can and does vary greatly. All rides are at-your-own risk as to weather, and if there is enough sunlight to finish the ride (so bring your bike lights because they might be necessary). Helmets are required. Emailing the ride leader to confirm details is always a good idea.

MY PACE MONDAY

When: 6:00 pm Mondays (March 20 through September).

How: 20-25 miles; great ride for beginners who are ready to get off the trail and hit the open road.
Pace: 12-14 mph average; no drop.

OL’ PHOGEY RIDE

Where: Location varies; contact the ride leaders to be added to the email group.
When: Tuesdays; start time varies each week.
Who: Eric Nordgren and Mike Thorp

How: 25-30 miles; sometimes longer.
Pace: 13-15 mph average; no drop.

TUESDAY TRAINING RIDES

When: Tuesday evenings at 6:10 pm.

How: Ready to learn how to ride faster, how to draft in a group and how to compete in longer (60, 75, 100 mile) rides? Then join us at 6:10 pm starting April 11 from the 37th & Wanamaker Walgreens for Tuesday Training Rides. This will be a faster-paced ride (16+ mph average) and slower riders may be dropped. However, initial routes will be an out-and-back and riders can rejoin on the return leg. Ride distance will start at 18-20 miles and lengthen as daylight increases.
Pace: 16+ mph average; slower riders may be dropped.

SO MO WEDNESDAY

Where: Location varies; contact the ride leader to be added to the email group.
When: Wednesdays; time varies each week.

How: 15-30 miles; occasionally longer.
Pace: A moderate, social pace of 12-14 mph; no drop.

DOVER DOGS

Where: Western Hills Church, 29th & Auburn Road. Click here for a map.
When: 6:00 PM on Thursdays (April through September).

How: 20 miles round-trip, to Dover and back.
Pace: Moderate; no drop. Mixed group that divides according to speed, but regroups in Dover.

PIZAGEL’S RIDE

When: 6:15 PM on Fridays.

How: This is a casual, social, beginner-friendly trail ride with a distance of 15 miles.
Pace: 10-12 mph average.

SATURDAY MORNING FAIRLAWN STARTER

When: 8:00 AM on Saturdays.

TOPEKA ROAD RIDERS (TRR)

When: Saturdays; time varies each week (contact the ride leader to be added to the email group).

How: No drop; mixed group that breaks down into pairs or smaller numbers and re-groups about every 5 miles.
Pace: 13-17 mph average.

BLACKBIRD EVENING RIDE
